Pilar "Bibi" Santidrián Tomillo
Dr. Pilar “Bibi” Santidrián Tomillo (pronouns: she/her/hers) is the Science Director of the Leatherback Trust and a tenured scientist with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). With nearly twenty years of experience on this project, Bibi’s expertise encompasses population biology, marine biology, and conservation, with a current research focus on the impact of climatic events on the hatching success of leatherback sea turtles and other reptiles. In her role, she supervises the research conducted at the field station and facilitates collaboration between research initiatives and management by working closely with national park authorities.
